About: Fr. Adam, the pastor of St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Katy, TX, graduated from Balamand University in 2020 with a Master of Theology in Pastoral Counseling. Since then, he has also received three units of Clinical Pastoral Education (the standard of education for chaplaincy in hospitals and first responders). The pastoral counseling approach is similar to coaching in that Fr. Adam does not give specific advice. Instead, he believes that the client probably already has the answer and could use help with tools and a framework to grow. Fr. Adam specializes in teens, young adults, and couples therapy and has helped people from many different religious backgrounds, including Atheism, Buddhism, and more. He also has specialized training in trauma.
